Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) is one of the UK’s largest train operating companies, responsible for delivering reliable and high-quality rail services across key regions including Thameslink, Southern, Great Northern, and Gatwick Express. As part of its commitment to service excellence and regulatory compliance, GTR is required to fulfil periodic auditing obligations under the Department for Transport’s Service Quality Regime (SQR).
With the introduction of the Department for Transport’s (DfT) Service Quality Regime (SQR), GTR was required to implement a reliable, efficient way to complete regular train and carriage audits and report findings back to the DfT. The timeframe for mobilisation was extremely short, placing pressure on GTR to adopt a system that could meet compliance requirements immediately.
GTR partnered with ANT to rapidly implement the ANT SQR system, a mobile and web-based platform designed for streamlined audit capture and analysis. The intuitive mobile app enabled frontline staff to carry out audits easily, while the back-office system allowed for real-time data collection, dashboard visualisations, and report exports.
ANT’s ability to deliver a fast, reliable solution under tight deadlines, combined with ongoing collaboration and enhancement, has positioned the SQR system as a critical compliance and data analysis tool for GTR. The partnership ensures GTR continues to meet its DfT obligations with confidence, efficiency, and transparency.
